Linked Hearts Blanket and Wall Hanging Set

Description

The Linked Hearts Blanket and Wall Hanging Set is a simple and unique Blanket and wall hanging, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.

The blanket uses DK yarn and a 4.5 mm hook but you can use any to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 400g of yarn. 100g for each linked heart panel and 100g for the separating sections and border if made following this pattern. A larger blanket will need more yarn.

I used:

• 100g of Stylecraft Special DK in Pale Rose
• 100g of Stylecraft Special DK in Duck Egg
• 100g of Stylecraft Special DK in Silver
• 100g of Stylecraft Special DK in white.

The wall hanging uses less than 100g of DK yarn.

I used:

• 100g of Stylecraft Special DK in Pale Rose

If you are using DK yarn a 4.0mm crochet hook is required as well as a 30cm wooden dowel rod. Scissors and a tapestry needle are also needed to complete this project. Stitch markers are helpful but optional.

If following the pattern your finished blanket will be approximately 24 inches by 28 inches.

If following this pattern your finished wall hanging will be approximately 10inches by 14 inches including the hanger but excluding the tassels. ( You can choose to make your tassels as long or as short as you like).
