Basic Border Blanket is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.
The pattern consists of written instructions as well as a chart and a shorthand written version. There are also instructions on how to amend the size of the blanket too.
Description
The Basic Border Blanket is a simple and unique blanket, made using the Filet technique of crochet. This pattern is written in US and UK terms. Just download whichever version you prefer. It is such an addictive technique to use as you slowly see the pattern emerging with each finished row.
It uses DK yarn. You can use any to suit your preference but this will alter the size of your blanket. It uses approximately 400g of yarn.
I used:
- 400g of Stylecraft Special DK in Silver
If you are using DK yarn a 4.0mm crochet hook is required, and scissors and a tapestry needle are also needed to complete this project. Stitch markers are helpful but optional.
A larger Basic Border Blanket will need more yarn.
If following this pattern your finished blanket will be approximately 30 inches by 38 inches
